AM marks Volunteers Week
Labour AM for the Vale of Clwyd, Ann Jones, has marked National Volunteers Week by paying tribute to all the volunteers who work in communities across the Vale of Clwyd.
Ms Jones said: “We are forever indebted to the legions of volunteers working right across the county who work tirelessly to make the environment of our area better and improve the wellbeing of the people in communities.
“On Volunteers Week, we should remember the invaluable contribution that volunteers make to our community, many of whom often go unnoticed.
“Volunteers are the backbone of our communities and I thank them wholeheartedly for their ongoing work to help others in need of support”.
Volunteers’ Week is an annual event which takes place on 1-7 June. It celebrates the contribution made by millions of volunteers across the UK. 2014 marks the 30th National Volunteers Week.
