Welsh Labour Government gives £1.5m to Ysgol Glan Clwyd

Labour AM for the Vale of Clwyd, Ann Jones, has warmly welcomed the news that Ysgol Glan Clwyd in Llanelwy will receive an extra £1.5 million in capital funding to improve the condition of the school site.

The investment in Ysgol Glan Clwyd is part of a £25 million investment project, the 21st Century Schools Programme, wholly funded by the Welsh Labour Government.

Ms Jones said: “The additional funding shows that the Welsh Labour Government is putting education investment first.

“The £1.5 million investment in Ysgol Glan Clwyd will make a real difference to the pupils, teachers and the community. Clean, safe and secure buildings create stimulating learning environments for pupils and this new funding will be vital to continue to raise standards for the children of the area.
