Ann Jones honoured by Chief Fire Officers from across the UK
Ann Jones AM has picked up a special award for Outstanding Achievement and Contribution to Fire Safety from the Chief Fire Officer’s Association (CFOA).
CFOA is the representative body made of Chief Fire Officers from across the UK who led the nation’s Fire and Rescue Service.
CFOA bestowed the award upon Ann for her work as a legislator, steering through the Domestic Fire Safety (Wales) Measure, requiring that fire sprinkler systems be installed in new domestic properties. All sections of the Fire and Rescue Service are fully in favour of this life-saving measure.
Mrs Jones said: “I’m deeply honoured to have been given this award by the Chief Fire Officers Association.
“I want to continue to press the case that when sprinklers are fitted across the UK – then we can all say – job well done!”.
