Ann welcomes Welsh Labour investment in safer walking routes in Rhyl
Labour AM for the Vale of Clwyd, Ann Jones, has warmly welcomed a £356,000 investment made by the Welsh Labour Government to create safe walking and cycling routes to schools and around the West End of Rhyl.
Ms Jones said: “I am delighted to see that the Welsh Labour Government is continuing to invest in making our communities safer places to live.
“Accidents are all too frequent and this new funding will make it easier for people to get about our town in a safe way”.
The Transport Minister, Edwina Hart will give money to Denbighshire Council through the Safe Routes in Communities programme which can be used to install new crossings, traffic calming measures, cycle paths, footpaths, secure cycle facilities and lighting.
